<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level adjustment method calibrating a measurement system using a signal generating apparatus with the measurement system and a power meter by determining optimum measurement points without the need for external control. <P>SOLUTION: A calibration value caused by a loss or the like resulting from a connection means acting like a path from the signal generating apparatus to a measurement object terminal is obtained in advance. A correction parameter such as measurement points on the basis of parameters such as a setting frequency range, a signal level of the measurement system, and types of the connection means, a signal is transmitted to the measurement object terminal via the connection means, the measurement system receives a signal transmitted from the measurement object terminal and the power meter measures its signal level to obtain a calibration value.
