PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety by making a control circuit for a traveling battery transitable to necessary processing even if an abnormality occurs in the control circuit. SOLUTION: This power supply for a vehicle comprises a control section for determining a fault in a traveling battery 1 based on a detection signal from a detecting section wherein the control section comprises a main control circuit 71 and a subcontrol circuit 72. The main control circuit 71 determines the fault of the traveling battery 1 based on a detection signal from the detecting section and generates a regulation signal. The subcontrol circuit 72 determines the adequacy of the regulation signal outputted from the main control circuit 71 by monitoring the regulation signal and the detection signal.
