PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hub assembly of a spindle motor having such structure that it can be fitted to not only the spindle motor but also to OSTW so that deviation of rotation centers among disks and deviation of planes among disks can be minimized, in an off-line servo-track recording. SOLUTION: An outer hub assembly 140 is constituted of an outer hub 150 in which a plurality of disks 121, 122, 123 at an outer periphery and spacers 136 for maintaining an interval between the plurality of disks 121, 122, 123 are assembled and a fastening member 160 fixing the outer hub 150 to the inner hub 134. Thereby, the outer hub assembly 140 can be fit to an off-line servo track writer in a state in which the plurality of disks 121, 122, 123 are assembled. Also, after servo-track writing is completed, the outer hub assembly 140 can be attached to the spindle motor 130 in the state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
