A pair of ferrules used for a fiber connector has a first ferrule 58 a having an optical fiber-inserting hole, and a second ferrule 58 b arranged opposite to, and on the same axis as, the first ferrule. The front portion of the first ferrule has a male convex shape, and the front portion of the second ferrule has a female concave shape provided with a fitting section for tightly receiving the male convex shaped structure. A sleeve 54 for connecting the two ferrules for optical fiber inside thereof includes a cylindrical sleeve main body, and a plurality of projections 54 a provided on the inner circumferential surface of the main body for supporting the outer circumferential surfaces of the ferrules for optical fiber, the plurality of projections being provided to be rotary-symmetrical with respect to the central axis of the sleeve main body and having the identical height.
