PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To narrow a frequency band area of a question signal transmitted from a controller (interrogator) toward a measurement value transmitter (transponder). SOLUTION: The tire information detection device is provided with the interrogator 10 provided on a vehicle body and transmitting the question signal toward near a tire; and a transponder 1 attached to each tire of the vehicle and returning a response signal including tire information to the interrogator 10 in response to the question signal. The question signal is modulated by a modulation signal and comprises a wave to be modulated fed to a transmitting period and a conveying wave fed to a receiving period subsequent to the transmitting period. A sensor 4 for detecting the tire information in response to the modulation signal for the transmitting period is provided on the transponder 1 and the modulation wave double side band-modulated by the modulation signal of approximately half of a response frequency of the sensor 4 is transmitted from the interrogator 10 for the transmitting period.
