<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate maintaining brightness and uniformity of light, making a backlight module simple, and a manufacturing method of the same. <P>SOLUTION: The light guide plate has a light incident face, a light emitting face, and a reflection face facing the light emitting face. Grooves having a cross section in a direction of plurality of axis line of circular arc shape, grooves having that of rectangular shape, or grooves of circular arc shape and rectangular shape are formed at least on one face out of the light incident face, the light emitting face, and the reflection face, and the plurality of grooves are arranged in accordance with a prescribed pattern. The grooves having a cross section in a direction of plurality of axis line of circular arc shape has a function of adjusting the uniformity of light face, and the grooves having a cross section in a direction of plurality of axis line of rectangular shape adjust the direction of the light so that the light is emitted in a range of arrangement angle from the light emitting face of the light guide plate. Accordingly, the light emitted from the light emitting face of the light guide plate is uniform and bright, and the light guide plate is suitable for the backlight module of a non-self-luminous flat monitor.
