PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program downloading system for quickly executing a program without generating any error by executing recovery as early as possible when the data of a module break down while the data are downloaded. SOLUTION: This program download system is provided with a television receiver 12 equipped with a transmission device 1 for transmitting modules obtained by dividing a program into a plurality parts, a checking part 5 for receiving the module, and for checking the presence of the error of the module, and for specifying the error site when there is any error, a storage part 6 for storing the received module and the position information of the error site of the module, an error correcting part 7 for, when the error site of the received module has not been detected as any error in the previous pertinent module, correcting the error site, and for updating the storage part 6 based on the previous module, a converting part 8 for, when all the modules are stored in the storage part 6, and there is not any error in all the modules, converting all the modules and a control part 11 for executing the program which has been turned into an execution format by the conversion.
