PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus with which waving of an intermediate transfer body due to environmental conditions and change with lapse of time is prevented and a good image can be obtained by performing a normal transfer process. SOLUTION: The image forming device, having the belt-like intermediate transfer body 11 for carrying the formed toner image and transferring the toner image to a transfer material, has a support member 21 of an electric resistance value equal to that of a base in the base material constituting the intermediate transfer body 11.
