A mobile station (200) is provided with a receiving field level detecting part (213) which converts a wireless signal level into an RSSI output, and a wireless frame timing deciding part (214) which decides wireless frame timing from the transient characteristic of the RSSI output. By deciding the wireless frame timing from the RSSI output, even the mobile station (200) is not provided with a demodulating circuit, synchronization can be established. The mobile station can establish the synchronization without being increased in size.
