摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods for repairing a gas turbine engine component made of an iron-nickel-cobalt superalloy. SOLUTION: In the method for repairing a gas turbine engine component, post-weld residual stress in a weld repaired iron-nickel-cobalt superalloy component is minimized by solution heat treatment of heating the component 10 to about 2,000°F±25°F, holding the component at about 2,000°F±25°F for about one hour, and cooling the component to below about 700°F at a rate equivalent to cooling it in air; and precipitation heat treatment of heating the component to about 1,325°F±25°F, holding the component at about 1,325°F±25°F for about 8 hours, cooling the component to about 1,150°F±25°F at a maximum rate of about 100°F/hour, holding the component at about 1,150°F±25°F for about 8 hours, and cooling the component at a predetermined cooling rate. Dimensions of the component, which has been fully-machined and weld-repaired, are maintained with custom designed furnace tools during solution heat treatment and precipitation heat treatment.
