Commutation control for a switched reluctance motor

A commutator control for a high-speed switched reluctance motor (2) comprises a digital PLL structure (7) between position sensor and commutator giving a high position signal sender release for early rotation-dependent ignition. The commutator period is adapted to the PWM carrier frequency with on/off switching and ramped current switching.
