METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PREVENTING THE DISCONNECTION OF AN ELECTRIC POWER GENERATING PLANT FROM THE ELECTRICAL GRID

The invention relates to a method of preventing a plant containing electric power generating machines which are connected to an electrical grid from being disconnected in the event of a voltage dip in said grid. According to the invention, upon detection of a voltage dip, the voltage supplied to the grid is adjusted proportionally to the magnitude of the dip, by diverting the part of the active power that was produced by the plant but not injected into the grid towards power storage and/or dissipation devices and maintaining the voltage of the plant at the nominal value thereof. The invention also relates to a device which is used to perform the aforementioned method and which comprises a by-pass (1), a transformer (4), a static inverter (5), a static converter (6), an assembly comprising a capacitor (7) and a dissipation resistor (8), a voltage dip detection circuit and a control circuit (20).
