PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaves/stems harvester solving the problem involved in conventional leaves/stems harvesters that, although young leaves' stems are cut by a disc cutter constructed by arranging rotary blades at predetermined intervals on a driving shaft and a driven shaft, in the case of young leaves, they are fed with their stems uneven, therefore they cannot be cut properly and the resulting cut dimensions are uneven as well. SOLUTION: The leaves/stems harvester includes a reaping pretreatment apparatus 3 comprising a raking-in reel 4 equipped on a general-purpose combine harvester, a reaping unit 5, a raking-in auger 6 and a conveyor unit 7. Behind the reaping pretreatment apparatus 3, there is provided a cutting splattering unit 11 functioning to drive cutting blades 8 for cutting fed leaves/stems and a splattering plate 9 for splattering cut leaves/stems upward through a cutter shaft 10. The discharging cylinder 12 of the splattering unit 11 is so constructed that a discharge port 13 on the tip is faced on a collector 14 for cut leaves/stems. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
