<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method which can efficiently detect the distortion of an image projected on a projection surface by a projecting device. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of detecting the strain of the projected image, first, a reference light and dark image is projected on the projection surface 3 by the projecting device 2. Next, the projected image projected on the projection surface 3 in a projecting step by the photodetecting device 10 is focused on the photodetecting surface of a photodetecting element 11 by a focusing optical system 12. Then, intensity profile data are acquired for a first direction and a second direction in the image focused on the photodetecting surface. Further, intensity profile data for the first direction and the second direction in the photodetecting step are analyzed based on the reference light and dark images, and the distortion of the projected image projected on the projection surface 3 is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
