<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for treatment of paper diapers used, and a fermenting treatment apparatus which improve the heat amount conversion efficiency in obtaining a fuel from the used paper diapers and reduce a running cost, and further miniaturize a facility and contribute to the reduction of CO<SB>2</SB>as a total and do not allow the outward leakage of an odor. <P>SOLUTION: In this invention, a treating vessel 21 which has a closable opening 24 for loading the paper diapers used and holds them, a crushing means 22 for crushing the paper diapers used held in the treating vessel 21 and stirring them together with fermentation bacteria, an evacuating means 40 for evacuating the atmospheric gas inside the treating vessel 21 to make the inside of the treating vessel 21 negative pressure, a deodorizing means 50 for deodorizing the odor gas by the evacuating means 40, and a heating means 23 which heats the crushed product of the paper diapers used held in the treating vessel 21 to adjust the water content of the used paper diapers to give a fermented material and subjects the fermented material to heat sterilization for a prescribed time to give a treated material, are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
