<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method capable of preventing any misjudgment due to trouble in an initial position detecting switch for an automatic door closer. <P>SOLUTION: In a driving means having an overload protecting element 26 capable of limiting an electric current by operating the door closer for fully latching a door lock, any abnormality occurring to the initial position detecting switch 23 can be detected by finding any returning to the initial position of the door closer after its full latching state and, if the overload protecting element is operated, then any control to an electric actuator for a period of time longer than its maximum current limiting period is inhibited. In this way, the detection of the initial position is not performed even though the initial position detecting means is normal after the overload protecting means has been operated. Therefore, an adequate process considering the case of the operation of the overload protecting means can be performed instead of an electric current prohibiting process based on the misjudgment on the initial position detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
