PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply which can reduce power consumption, even at a normal operation state, not only at a stand-by state, and which can also reduce the switching noise at normal operation state. SOLUTION: The switching power supply is provided with a microcomputer 100 including a function for outputting control signals P-ON_H1, P-ON_H2; a main power generating circuit 101 for outputting the voltage obtained by switching an input DC voltage VIN by an oscillating operation as a power to the load circuit of electronic equipment and to the microcomputer 100; a sub power generating circuit 102 for supplying the voltage obtained by switching the input DC voltage VIN by the oscillating operation as power to the microcomputer 100; and an oscillating switching circuit 105 for stopping the oscillating operation of the main power generating circuit 101 at the stand-by state and for stopping the oscillating operation of the sub power generating circuit 102 at the normal operation state based on the control signals P-ON_H1, P-ON_H2.
