The method is used for making photopolymer printing plates which are exposed to UVA radiation before attaching to printing rollers to form sleeves used in flexography and dry offset printing, has all the manufacturing stages automated. The stages include suction of solvent vapours. The method also involves engraving by brushing and steeping in a solvent or a mixture of water and an additive. Then, a drying phase takes place, in which the sleeves are passed through a dynamic kiln with pulsed hot air. Finally, the storage of the finished sleeves after subjecting to UVA and UVC radiation. The device used for the method comprises a storage unit (1) which receives the sleeves after exposure to UVA radiation, an anti-vapour solvent chamber (2), an engraving unit (3), a drying unit (5), and a storage unit (7) for the completed sleeves. After the engraving unit the apparatus incorporates a chamber for monitoring the sleeves, including a drawer (4a) for extracting them and a suction unit. |
