Paving stone lamp for ground, wall and ceiling installation has transparent cover

The easy to mount paving stone lamp unit contains an illuminant (16), which extends partly into gaps (19) located at the bottom side of the transparent cover (18). This arrangement provides for an even illumination of the entire paving stone surface area. The bottom side of the cover is provided with a multitude of deepenings (20) to enhance light scattering to increase the effect of even illumination. The top surface (24) of the paving stone lamp is smooth for easy cleaning. Light emitting diodes are employed as illuminants (16), which are battery- supplied and powered by solar cells (21). A light sensor controls the wired or wireless communication means, which are in use to ensure that several paving stone lamps switch on or off simultaneously.
