<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system for automatically collecting print attribute information for selecting a printing device from a network, and for dynamically generating a port for performing print by the selected printing device when printing is requested. <P>SOLUTION: In a print system where printing in desired specifications is operated by using a printing device on a network, an application part 11 displays a printing setting screen through a setting management part 13 to designate printing specifications, and a printing device retrieval part 14 retrieves a printing device which can perform the printing in the specifications from printing devices on a network by a network communication part 17 to select one of the printing devices, and a port generating part 15 dynamically generates the port for using the printing device, and a printer driver control part 16 selects a printer driver 18 which is available for the printing device, and transfers the print data, and a network communication part 17 receives the print data from the printer driver 18, and transmits the printed data by using the printing device information owned by the generated port. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
