METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DATA TRANSMISSION IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM SUPPORTING ENHANCED UPLINK SERVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for data transmission in a mobile communication system supporting enhanced uplink service.

SOLUTION: Transmission format (TF) information is determined for data transmitted through a first data channel not supporting Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) and a second data channel supporting HARQ, and gain factors are determined for the first and second data channel, and first and the second control channel carrying control information for the first and the second data channel. The gain factor for the second channel is reduced if total transmit power required for the transmission of the channels exceeds the maximum allowed power. The transmit power of the channels is adjusted using the scaled gain factor and gain factors for the first data channel, the first control channel and the second control channel.
