PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve restorability from a packed state of an absorbent used for a body fluid absorbing article such as a paper diaper and a sanitary napkin without increasing weight, thickness or costs. SOLUTION: In the absorbent 10 provided with a fiber assembly 1, the one composed of tow (fiber bundles) constituted of fibers is used for the fiber assembly 1, and compression resilience is turned to 45-60%. Further, it contains the one whose compression energy is in the range of 4.0-7.0gf/cm/cm<SP>2</SP>and the one whose fiber density when the thickness is 10mm is≤0.0075g/cm<SP>3</SP>.
