PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve to be opened/closed for reliably controlling the flow-in/-out of slurry in which abrasive particles are mixed. SOLUTION: The valve comprises a valve body 2 in which a slurry distribution passage 21 is formed, a valve element 4 to be cooperated with the valve body for opening/closing the slurry distribution passage, and a drive part 6 for actuating the valve element. The drive part moves the valve element down to be inserted into the distribution passage, whereby a seal face is formed between the inlet inner face of the distribution passage and the outer peripheral face of the valve element to close the distribution passage and prevent the flow of the slurry.
