The invention relates to a belt drive, especially for a control drive of an internal combustion engine or one of its ancillary units, comprising at least one driving toothed gear and at least one driven toothed gear and a tension or deflection roller and means interconnecting the same (toothed belt or chain drive). At least one of the toothed gears (differential gear (1)) is adapted to impress, when rotating, an irregularity onto the drive, thereby smoothing the drive. The differential gear is a tension or deflection roller (1) which is provided with a profiled gearing guaranteeing a phase-constant rotation with the belt drive. |
