<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding device achieving almost zero friction coefficient. <P>SOLUTION: A stainless plate 7 is put in contact with a solid lubricant 6 which is a material formed by impregnating graphite with metal. The solid lubricant 6 is fixed to a ultrasonic vibrator with an epoxy resin. A ultrasonic oscillator, not illustrated, is connected to the ultrasonic vibrator 1. The ultrasonic oscillator, not illustrated, applies ultrasonic alternating voltage to the ultrasonic vibrator 1.
