PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening structure of a cylinder block capable of reducing an increase in the tightening force of head bolts due to fluctuation in the temperature of an engine. SOLUTION: This cylinder block 1 is so formed that the cylinder head 4 is tightened to a deck surface 1a with the head bolts 3. The male screw parts 3b of the head bolts 3 are threaded to female screw parts 1d formed in the cylinder block through a cylindrical body 6 formed in the cylinder block 1. The cylindrical body 6 comprises a metal based composite member formed by filling a metal in spherical cells of the ceramic molded bodies of a three-dimensional net structure formed of the plurality of spherical cells and communication holes communicating the plurality of spherical cells adjacent to each other.
