PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the conventional constitution requires a negative pressure source for both of a negative pressure for making a recording medium adhering to a platen and a negative pressure necessary for ink suction at the time of maintenance of a head because a head part discharges ink while reciprocating to a recording medium part, and the recording medium is transferred in a state while kept adhering to the platen. SOLUTION: The negative pressure source used for a moving means which selectively makes either one of a recording medium transfer means and a maintenance means opposed to a discharge opening opposed face of a recording means, the recording medium transfer means, and maintenance of the head is made common to be a switching type.
