The airbag module (12) for a vehicle's occupant restraint system has an airbag with a first section fixed to the airbag module. A means of positioning (16) are provided outside the airbag and connected to the airbag on one side and to the airbag module on the other side. The positioning means may be connected to a housing, a gas generator unit, or to a gas lance of the airbag module. The positioning means are connected at one end to a second section of the airbag oppositely disposed in relation to the first section.
