When a backseat is not occupied the headrest (1) can be lowered and accommodated in a complementary recess (4) located at the front of the backrest (5). The lateral wings, protruding from the front of the backrest (5) ensure a use of the backseat only with a properly adjusted headrest (1). The headrest (1) can, however, be used by a child in this position. The headrest (1) can also be rotated around a vertical axle in order to be used with two differently designed front areas (8).
