<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed container for precooling having the same storing properties as an ordinary container, capable of stacking up under a condition in which faces are arranged like the container for precooling to perform a precooling processing, and capable of using for both it and the ordinary container at least related to a lid body. <P>SOLUTION: The foamed container consists of a container main body 2 and the lid body 3 both made of a foamed synthetic resin. The upper end parts of side wall parts 11 are arranged approximately within the same plane, and a container side fitting part 13 is formed on the upper end parts of the side wall parts 11 of the container main body 2. On the middle parts in the lengthwise direction on the lower end corner parts of at least one pair of facing side wall parts 11, recessed parts 17 for venting extending more to the central part sides of a bottom wall part 10 than positions corresponding to the container side fitting part 13 by a plane view are formed by composing the bottom faces with inclined faces 19 downward on the central part sides of the bottom wall part 10 without projecting the inner face of the container main body 2 inward.
