PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture reproducer which successively displays reproduced pictures by a simple operation for switching over the progressive system and the interlace system for reproducing picture signals, thus eliminating the need of such troublesome operation for reconnecting the cable of a television receiver. SOLUTION: A menu key and a decision key are operated to select a color difference signal position shown on the screen of a television receiver 21, and then a picture display in the progressive system. A controller 20 is provided for controlling a switching means 14 for outputting picture signals of the progressive system on a second output terminal 17 when a reproducing key is operated. When a special key is operated, it controls the switching means 14 for switching the picture signals of the progressive system to those of the interlace system and for outputting them.
