PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a plasma display panel excellent in brightness property and suitable for realizing high refineness. SOLUTION: As for the manufacturing method of the plasma display panel having a plurality of discharging spaces 13 formed by barrier ribs 10 in which, phosphor layers 11 are arranged respectively, phosphor paste as a material for forming the phosphor layers 11 is partially solidified by applying thermal energy thereon, afterwards, the whole part of the phosphor paste is dried, and convex parts 14 formed by aggregating phosphor particles are formed on the phosphor layers 11 to increase the surface area thereof.
