PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the total number of times of inputting/outputting is nearly twice increased due to processing for copying from a update file to a reference file while there is no conflict between reference and update. SOLUTION: A data processing system, which is provided with; a storage device provided with a cache memory having a first and second regions and a disk device which stores the data of the cache memory; and a computer executing a first and second programs, is operated as follows. The storage device writes the data to the first region corresponding to region identification information included in a data storage request in response to the input of the data storage request, writes the data to the second region corresponding to the region identification information included in the data storage request in response to the input of the data storage request, and copies the data stored in the second region to the first region in response to the input of a copying request for reflecting the data of the second region to the first region.
