PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method and a camera by which positioning of a lens and an imaging device can be performed with sufficient accuracy in order to secure an imaging extent in a direction where the viewing angle of a pick-up image becomes wider. SOLUTION: The camera is provided with the lens, the imaging device for picking up an image formed by the lens and a rotary shaft which is almost in parallel to the optical axis of the lens or of the imaging device and the lens is attached to a conditioning frame which can be rocked around the rotary shaft. By such constitution, positioning of the lens and the imaging device can be performed with sufficient accuracy in a direction where the viewing angle of the pick-up image becomes wider and the imaging extent can be secured.
