<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, when a nursing person approaches to a patient on a bed or the patient away from the bed gets on the bed, he/she is apt to bump on a steel material, a construction member of a base frame, which is hard to visually confirm, the conventional construction member, in either case of a channel steel or a square pipe, has four right-angle edges, and the leg, or the like often bumps on the edge to injure, however, no special measures are taken conventionally. <P>SOLUTION: The pipe member 1, in a transverse section, is provided with a linear first side 1a disposed vertically, linear second and third sides 1b and 1c laterally formed from the upper/lower ends of the first side respectively, and a fourth side 1d formed between the ends of the second side and the third side.
