PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation for external use for improving skin drabness, which can sufficiently exhibit an improving effect on shadow and drabness caused by tannin. SOLUTION: This skin care preparation for improving the skin drabness is characterized by containing a polyphenol and hydrophobilized titanium dioxide-coated platy powder having a red interference color and substantially not containing untreated titanium dioxide.
