PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a lamp system for a bicycle driven by a hub dynamo and to suppress rotation torque of the hub dynamo in lamp-off. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a current detection element 10; and a protection circuit comprising a switch circuit 13 and a voltage clamp circuit 14. The current detection element 10 detects existence of a current flowing in the lamp system. The switch circuit 10 by-passes the current between both ends of hub dynamo output and makes the current flow in the voltage clamp circuit 14 when the current flows in the current detection element 10, maintains a voltage applied to the lamp system to a predetermined voltage or lower and forbids that the current flows in the voltage clamp circuit 14 when the current does not flow in the current detection element 10.
