PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a part sorter that can prevent a time loss at the time of exchange between empty boxes and filled boxes. SOLUTION: The part sorter that sorts a plurality of fed parts according to their types essentially consists of a feed part into which a plurality of parts are fed at random, a judgement part that judges the type of parts fed from the feed part, a sorting part that packs the parts fed from the feed part into boxes corresponding to the types of the parts, and a box hold part that feeds, holds, and discharges a plurality of types of boxes corresponding to the respective parts. In an embodiment, the part sorter has lanes related to the box hold part in the number which is larger by one than the number of the types of the parts, a memory capable of storing or erasing the types of parts mounted on the respective lanes is provided, and a box detector that detects at least either of the feed or discharge of boxes into and from the respective lanes.
