The invention relates to a differential pressure sensor comprising a measuring mechanism (10) which is provided with a measuring cell chamber wherein a differential pressure measuring cell is arranged. Said differential pressure measuring cell communicates with a first hydraulic path (6) which is filled with a transmission fluid and a second hydraulic path (7) which is also filled with a transmission fluid. The first hydraulic path is closed by means of a first separation membrane (4) and the second hydraulic path is closed by means of a second separation membrane (5), and the separation membranes are impinged upon by first and/or second pressure means. The differential pressure sensor also comprises a compensation channel (12) which is arranged between the first and the second hydraulic path and a closing device (11) which is used to interrupt the compensation channel, thereby reducing a temperature-dependent zero displacement.
