PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monofunctional microwave oven for performing heating and cooking similar to those of an oven, without mounting an oven function therein. SOLUTION: The microwave oven performs heating and cooking, using a cooking plate formed of a steel plate whose metal tissue is a ferromagneticαphase. The cooking plate is arranged at the upper part of a microwave irradiation part in a microwave oven case. The surface of the cooking plate can be coated with a heat resistant non-adhesive resin.
