An induction apparatus for providing fresh air in a room or office, comprises an air collecting chamber 3 provided with an air inlet 2, which air collecting chamber comprises a wall 6 having provided therein at least one air outlet 4 with an outflow opening for generating a ventilation air stream, and which air outlet 4 is provided with a shutoff valve 7 for at least partly covering the outflow opening for regulating the air outflow. The shutoff valve 7 comprises a magnetic strip element which is slidable along the sheet steel wall 6 of the air collecting chamber 3 for providing an airtight closure between the shutoff valve and the outflow opening. The air outlets 4 may be in the form of a venturi generating a powerful air stream P, so that induction C can occur and air from the room rises and is drawn through an air-conditioning unit 5. |
