PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flap gate device for the low-cost construction of a gate that can be put in derricking operation while ensuring watertightness irrespective of the wall angle of a river or a channel. SOLUTION: The door body side face of the flap gate and a slope are connected in the loose state of a flexible material irrespective of the gentleness or steepness of the wall gradient of the river or channel. Operation ensuring watertightness in the whole derricking stroke can be obtained. The flap gate can thereby be installed at a low construction cost. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
