PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a using method of a solid phase substrate for a microarray capable of suppressing comet-like fluorescence around a spot in manufacture of the microarray, and having high detection accuracy. SOLUTION: In this using method of the solid phase substrate for the microarray, a capturing substance which is a substance for capturing a physiologically active substance is immobilized, and the mass of the captured physiologically active substance is detected by fluorescence. The using method of the solid phase substrate for the microarray includes a treating process wherein, after immobilizing the physiologically active substance on a part of the substrate surface, the substance is boiled with a solution including salt and/or a surfactant.
