PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust the degree of superheat of steam even in a case where pressure and the degree of superheat of a steam supply line are varied due to various causes. SOLUTION: Superheated steam supplied from a superheated steam supply line 1 is pressure-reduced by a pressure reducing means 2, and it is temperature-reduced by a water injection type steam temperature reducing means 3 before it is supplied to a heat exchanger 5. Saturation steam temperature T2 at pressure-reduced steam pressure P1 is subtracted from superheated steam temperature T1, and obtained temperature difference is multiplied by steam flow F1 supplied to the heat exchanger. Based on temperature T3 of injected water to be supplied to the steam temperature reducing means, flow of injection water supplied to the steam temperature reducing means is computed, so that flow of injected water supplied to the steam temperature reducing means is controlled. Temperature T4 of temperature-reduced steam downstream of the steam temperature reducing means is detected.
