PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine having a cleaning means capable of beautifully cleaning the outer circumferential face of an inner tub and the internal circumferential face of an outer tub. SOLUTION: The cleaning means 10 is provided between the inner tub 4 and the outer tub 3. The cleaning means 10 is provided with a cleaning element 19 attached to frames 14 and 15 and positioned between the inner tub 4 and the outer tub 3, and a pressure receiving element 16 receiving hydraulic pressure of a water flow therebetween. When the inner tub 4 is normally/reversely rotated, the frames 14 and 15 swing around shafts 17 and 18, the cleaning element 19 comes into a selective slide contact with the outer circumferential face of the inner tub 4 and the internal circumferential face of the outer tub 3 to rotationally turn in the circumferential direction of the inner tub 4 and the outer tub 3 and clean the outer circumferential face of the inner tub 4 and the internal circumferential face of the outer tub 3.
