Disclosed is a device for filtering liquids and an associated filter cartrid ge (100), which is easy to mount and which has a defined sealing position in th e inlet funnel (10). The device is characterized in that the sealing edge (160 ) is a snap edge (161) which is connected to one of the two cartridge parts (101,110) via an integral hinge (162). The snap edge (161) can be folded fro m a first lower snap position into a second upper snap position and vice-versa . The device is further characterized in that the bottom of the funnel (12) comprises a sealing seat (60) which surrounds the receiving opening (13). Th e snap edge (161) snaps into said sealing seat (60) when in a second position.
