PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle in which locking time difference between right and left wheels can be reduced at the time of stopping and parking. SOLUTION: A vehicle 1 comprises front/rear and right/left wheels 2, and a plurality of motor drives 3 connected with these wheels 2 respectively and capable of drive control of each wheel 2 independently. Each motor drive 3 is provided with a gear lock mechanism 14 for locking the power transmission system, i.e. the drive shaft, of a motor by means of a gear. Gear of the gear lock mechanism 14 is provided with a rotational position detector 17. Based on the detection value of these rotational position detector 17, an ECU 20 determines a pair of gears of minimum tooth gap among combinations of one left side gear and one right side gear of the body, and controls a plurality of gear lock mechanisms 14 to lock that pair of gears.
