PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or reduce the scraping-out of surplus ink onto a projecting part due to bending of the free end of a doctor, without damaging the surface of a photogravure plate. SOLUTION: The photogravure plate has a doctor supporting part which is provided in a recess of a plate surface and has a top part inside the plate surface not being higher than the projecting part.
