PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap mounting apparatus capable of prevent molding of a screw part from becoming imperfect and prevent a container from being deformed when a cap is mounted on the container made of a metal. SOLUTION: The cap mounting apparatus is equipped with a pressure block 4 and a screw part forming unit 5 for forming a screw part on the cap. The screw part forming unit 5 is equipped with a supporting arm part 16, an energizing means 17 for energizing the supporting arm part 16 in the direction of approaching the pressure block 4, and a screw part forming roller 19 for pressing a cylindrical part of the cap and forming the screw part. The screw part forming roller 19 is freely rotatably inserted through a through-hole 16a formed in the supporting arm part 16 through a bearing 18, and the bearing 18 comprises a synthetic resin. As the bearing 18 comprises a synthetic resin, the surface frictional coefficient of the bearing 18 is low, and the screw part forming roller 19 is smoothly rotated and lowered.
