FIELD: shipbuilding; sonar domes. ^ SUBSTANCE: sonar station dome includes working compartment with foundation for sonar station and fiberglass plastic insert mounted in shell plating of working compartment. Insert is made over perimeter in horizontal section of compartment as far as its transverse bulkhead. Lower and upper metal parts of compartment are connected by means of two detachable pillars mounted on frames inside sonar station foundation. ^ EFFECT: enhanced rigidity and strength of under-keel dome. ^ 3 dwg
